Good news! Simone has been offered a place at Coppetts Wood Primary School this Fall! It is a state school, but it is competitive to get into the good schools so we couldn’t be happier. Coppetts Wood is located in North London near Alexandra Park. The school is located in the borrough of Barnet which contains the beautiful Hampstead Heath. In the movie “Notting Hill”, Hugh Grant goes to “The Heath” to see Julia Roberts where she is filming her new movie. There is also a Ewan McGregor movie called “Scenes of a Sexual Nature” shot entirely at Hampstead Heath.
So now I have to get a job. I am waiting for my registration number to work as a social worker in the United Kingdom, that could take a couple weeks or sixteen weeks, I have not a clue. I have found several recruiters who are willing to attempt to find me a job while my registration is still pending. Keep you fingers crossed for me, I just need to get us all moved by the time school starts in September.
I was going to post about this, but Sarah beat me to it! Thanks to all of Sarah’s dedication and hard work, Simone got into a London school…it would figure that Simone woud be the first one of us to get into the UK!
Hi, first of all congratulations for the blogg, I have readed some things and I found it interesting so I will read some more.
We are a spanish family mvoing to London for some mounths in September. We have two children, aged 8 and 10, and we want to have a state school for them. How is it when you look for school, what is necessary to write them in the school ?
