Go Shears!

To all of our friends and family at home, hello…from the future!  While you’re sitting there in 2008 with last year’s haircut and a ridiculous amount of snow, it’s now 2009 here!  I’m not supposed to say much about the future, but there is a couple of things to look forward to:  flying cars and robot monkey butlers.  But you didn’t hear that from me!

So, I guess you could say that 2008 was kind of a busy year for us.  Here’s a list of our biggest stressors accomplishemnts in chronological order:

1. We sold our beloved home (and most of our worldly possesions).
2. Sarah earned her Master’s degree.
3. We survived living for 6 months at Sarah’s parent’s house.
4. Eric quit his job at the height of the global economic crisis.
5. We moved to London!
6. Sarah started her new job (in a foreign country).
7. Simone started school (in a foreign country).
8. Two separate banks in 2 different countries concurrently screwed us.
9. Simone turned 5 years old.
10. The weded union of Eric & Sarah turned 13 years old.
11. Eric remains unemployed at the hieght of the global economic crisis.
12. Happy New Year!

If we accomplish half as much in 2009 as we did in 2008, I’ll probably drop dead of a heart attack.  But, some of our friends and family will be visiting us in 2009 (and if I’m not talking about you, what are you waiting for?) which will be fun and fantastic.

It’s going to be a good year.
